The quantity of the pro longwear paint pot is much more compared to regular eye shadow which makes it quite long lasting. I mostly use fingers to apply this as eyeshadow as a lot of product is wasted when used with a brush. The colour looks a lot deeper when used over this and the staying power also increases. This is perfect for a smokey eye also when the lower rim is lined with an angled brush. I also use this as a primer for eye shadows which have poor pigmentation. I use the pro longwear indianwood mostly as an eye shadow when i want a gold metallic look. MAC Paint pots are supposed to be used either as primers for other eye shadows or on their own. The pigmentation is exceptional with 9-10 hours with no creasing or fading. However, you need to be a little quick with the application as this dries fast and that makes it difficult to blend it completely. It glides easily on the eyes and blends beautifully. The texture of mac indianwood is very creamy and smooth without any grittiness.

This shade will look great on Indian skin tones and is a perfect shade for festive makeup. It is a beautiful bronze gold shade with finely-milled shimmer which looks very metallic on the lids. Indianwood is described as a metallic antique bronze shade with a frost finish. The glass packaging makes the product bulky to carry and there is always a fear of dropping it and breaking it. MAC Paint pot in Indianwood comes in a classic black MAC packaging with a screw cap.

This may not be a con, but you have to blend it real quick as it sets within a few seconds. I really like the cute, round glass pot. Even after frequent use, it looks as if it’s going to last quite a long time. Takes care of any oiliness in the crease area. Doesn’t fade or crease for hours on end. The frost-finish shades can add that extra ‘oomph’ to your eyeshadows and can double up as a brow-bone highlighter as well. It really pops the colour(s) of your eyeshadow(s) and makes them more vibrant. A cream-to-powder finish eyeshadow from MAC, that can be used as a base, on its own, or layered under other powder eyeshadows or eyeliners. However, do check out shades like Bare Study (soft beige with gold pearl – frost), Rubenesque (golden peach with gold pearl – frost) and Indianwood (metallic antique bronze – frost), to add that even extra pop to your eyeshadows by giving a frost finish and doubling up as a under-brow highlighter as well! The favourite shades that are used as eyeshadow bases are : Soft Ochre (a yellow beige colour with cream finish, no frost at all), and Painterly (nude beige with cream finish again). They can be worn alone or layered under powder eyeshadow, and they give intense, seamless coverage that won’t crease or fade, even after hours and hours. They have at least 8 to 10 shades in India. Although MAC has a separate Prep + Prime Eyes, I found that to be a little oily while testing it, so after reading so much about using the Paint Pots as eyeshadow bases, I decided to settle for one of these. But now that I have discovered (and fallen in love with) MAC Paint Pot in Soft Ochre, I don’t need to use anything else as an eyeshadow base. Before discovering MAC Paint Pot in Soft Ochre, I used to use gel foundation, followed by a patting of pressed powder on my eyelids. MAC Paint Pots in India have become an all-time favourite base for eyeshadows, as we don’t have many other brands selling eyeshadow primers. Cream-based, can be mixed with MAC shadows and liners.
